As 1/1/2010 approaches quickly, it is time for me to have that usual thought of a New Year's resolution. This is usually a fleeting thought because what happens is I come up with a good one then one January 1st I say "I am too hung over, I will start tomorrow." Then of course tomorrow never comes and by the end of January I am saying "I'll just do it next year!"

There are quite a few things I could pick this year that I dislike about my life.  I think this year it will be to diet and get back into shape.  For those of you who know me personally, you know I could really use that.

Maybe I should make more than one resolution, maybe pick 2 or 3 from the list below:

• Blog more
• No More Drama
• Fight for Gay Rights
• Shed Bad Influences
• Shave my Body Hair (never... I have faced the fact I am a bear)
• Get a Gym Membership (and actually use it)
• Diet
• Delete all the accounts I still have at the crusing web sites (I don't think the excuse I am there to talk to my friends is really to valid anymore, and I know it would make my boy friend happy!)
• Make my BF Happy (see above)
• Drink Less (Yeah like that will happen)

Well as I actually take the time to decide what mine will be, why not comment here and let me know what your plans are for a New Years Resolution in 2010.

In setting up this site, one of the last tasks I had to do ws to get some links incoming and outgoing to other gay/homosexual sites.

So I went into Google and searched the word Homosexual.  I was in awe at some of the top 20 sites I saw in the results. Obviously the top one was Homosexuality - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, which stated:

Homosexuality refers to the romantic or sexual attraction or behavior among members of the same sex; or to a sexual orientation. As an orientation, homosexuality refers to "an enduring pattern of or disposition to experience sexual, affectional, or romantic attractions primarily to" people of the same sex; "it also refers to an individual’s sense of personal and social identity based on those attractions, behaviors expressing them, and membership in a community of others who share them.

Then I came across the "HATE" sites, those saying homosexuality is wrong. (I have purposely taken out the link to the sites as to not give them any acknowledgement or SEO support.  To see them for yourself just google "homosexuals".

Rather than be called "Admin" on all of my pages, I opened a second account here at Homosexualsonly.com so people get to know me by my real name, or my screen name of Jake or Jake46a. 

I am a 50 year old gay male living in Toledo, OH; or better known as "Hell" to some.  Not exactly the booming area of the country right now, but with the current economy, what area is booming?

I actually purchased this domain back in April, and the story behind it is in this blog post. Why Did HomoSexualsOnly.com come about?. Please take the time to read it.  I want everyone to feel at home here, no matter what your sexual orientation is.  This is not a hookup site by no means.  If that is what you are looking for then just goolge, "gay hookup sites".

My main source of income is web design and technical support for Joomla and Joomla 3rd party components. I do however have a few other sites, some of which are porn site.  Maybe some day I will blog on how I "acquired those".

On the morning of April 10, 2009, my boss from Germany sends me a link in my instant messenger to a link Fake People Tell Fake Stories About The Threat Of Gay Marriage. I go there to see this video.

“I don't know if the people are fake or not [UPDATE: They are actors], but they are assholes. One woman whines plaintively, "My freedom will be taken away," if gays are allowed to marry. What -- her freedom to be intolerant? “

Then of course some spoof videos were posted.

Now as I read this post, I came across this posted comment: “Registered 'heterosexualsonly.com' and hope to have a site up and running by Monday with representative contacts, resources and whatever else I can provide.”

With that, I logged into GoDaddy and registered the domain, HomoSexaulsOnly.com. I said to myself, if someone can register and create a site for heterosexuals only then I will do it for homosexuals. Later I realized when I visited his site, that his intentions were the opposite. “This site was registered and taken as a protest to those who would deny rights to homosexuals. This point of view that marriage is for 'heterosexuals only' is nothing more than modern day bigotry that has been preached over and over since the beginning of time.

People used religion to say the same things against interracial marriage and women wanting the right to vote. Now they use these excuses to deny equal rights to homosexuals out of fear. So I registered this domain to avoid it falling into the hands of bigots. Forgive me for not doing more with it as my life is busy.”
